Sometimes I couldn’t bring my DSLR, so I had to use my iPhone. Here are shots on the way to and from the canopy tour, some of which were taken through the car window as we drove:

No one we spoke with at North-South Lake had ever heard of Huckleberry Point or Poet’s Ledge (two mountains that my friend and I had looked up before our trip), so we hiked another mountain that they recommended: Hunter. It was awesome. Once we got back home and had internet access, we learned that it is the second-highest mountain in the Catskills. Not bad!
Hunter Mountain info:
Distance: 5.40 miles
Elevation: 4,040 feet
Elevation Gain: 2,219 feet
First view of the surrounding mountains!
It’s hard to tell, but the paths are really steep and uneven
At the top! This is the trail to the firetower.
I seriously love that wildflowers grow everywhere in the Catskills.
Woodstock is a really small town. I wasn’t sure what to fully expect, but it was definitely nice: peaceful (ha, ha), creative, and colorful. There would have probably been more to photograph had we not gone on a Monday–maybe live music or something–but I still had a nice time.

Wildflowers are everywhere, and I love them (this one wasn’t taken in Woodstock, though)
Third and final camping post will be up soon! Hunter Mountain :)

Hiking Upper Platte Clove:
Hiking to North Point, from the North South Lake campground (I used my friend’s point & shoot because it was raining when we started the hike :( Then, of course, the weather turned beautiful once we started):
